automotive solutionsI have been in the automotive industry for twenty five years. My favorite line is “remember when the automotive industry used to be fun?”. It’s tough out there and we are all feeling it. Now you not only have to compete against the guy down the road but compete against the economy. Simple decisions to get your car fixed the first time is a pain staking decision because of a cash flow thought process. Do I max out my credit card and get the vehicle fixed or get a little done and come back when I have more money? Do they really come back?

When a customer comes in for a twenty dollar oil change and you notice they need new brakes or tires. Now that twenty dollar job is a five hundred and twenty dollar job. The customer must make the decision on the spot and review the automotive solutions. Credit cards are almost maxed out; they do not want to apply for another card, and they do not have six hundred dollars in their back account.
